A State page story published Saturday about a workers’ rights rally in Bangor incorrectly reported that protesters were criticizing U.S. Sen. Susan Collins for opposing worker-friendly amendments to the North American Free Trade Agreement.
In fact, they were protesting her stance on “fast track” trade promotion authority.
The story shouldn’t have stated that Collins supported NAFTA, which was passed before she was a senator. The mistake was a reporting error.
