A story in the Oct. 22 edition stated incorrectly that “enrollment in local [Bangor] private schools is steadily dropping.” The story went on to explain that fewer Bangor students have been enrolling in private schools.

A story on the City page of Monday’s paper misspelled the name of Orono Town Manager Gerry Kempen.

A sports story in Tuesday’s paper on Maine Public Broadcasting Corp. receiving the contract from the Maine Principals’ Association to televise the high school basketball tournament for all classes had an incorrect number on the rights fees to broadcast the games. MPBC is spending $206,920 for its total costs to produce the 56 games. The rights fees from the MPA have not been completed.
