In a story about a change in state law that allows some legislative staffers to join a collective bargaining unit, The Associated Press reported erroneously on Dec. 7 how many workers are represented by the Maine State Employees Association. The union represents 12,000 workers statewide, including 10,500 state employees.

In a Jan. 15 story about government efforts to deter missile attacks on commercial planes, The Associated Press erroneously reported that SA-7 missiles have a range of 30 miles. The missiles have a range of 3 miles, according to Jane’s Information Group.

In a Jan. 13 story about the increasing number of young people without health insurance, The Associated Press identified Karen Ignagni as vice president of the American Association of Health Plans. Ignagni is president and chief executive officer of the association.
