A story in Friday’s Bangor Daily News mischaracterized proposed penalties for “twilight hunting.” The term, which the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine and several legislators want to incorporate into all of Maine’s game laws, refers to the 15 minutes after sunset. While hunting is not allowed during that period, the proposed penalties would be less strict than those for night hunting.
