John Peckingham of the University of Maine’s Mitchell Center did take water samples for testing from Birch Stream in Bangor, as reported in a Bangor Daily News story Thursday, and hopes to do additional testing in the future. However, he also has cited results of testing done by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the Maine Air National Guard.
