The sidebar to a story on the construction of a new Kingdom Hall in Bucksport that ran in Saturday’s edition on Page A7 stated that in their door-to-door evangelism Jehovah’s Witnesses leave their literature in mailboxes. They do not. It is a violation of federal law to place anything except mail delivered by the U.S. Postal Service in mailboxes designed for that purpose.
