Correcting the record

A story on Tuesday’s B1 concerning four men who made their initial appearance in 3rd District Court in Bangor in connection with $150,000 allegedly stolen from a Mattawamkeag garage contained incorrect information. To correct the record: Ernest Hugh Norwood Jr., 22, of Lincoln, who was charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property, had bail set at $30,000 in real estate or $3,000 cash. Joshua Solomon, 22, of Lincoln, who was charged with felony theft and burglary, had bail set at $70,000 in real estate or $7,000 in cash. Solomon was on probation for a January 2002 conviction for theft and two counts of burglary to a motor vehicle at the time of his arrest in Virginia last week. Solomon remained in jail on a probation violation charge Monday.

Punctuation in a caption under the photo of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Monday’s State section conveyed incorrect information. Roslynn Poore’s husband is Nathaniel Morris. Poore is a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital.

A clarification is needed in a story about the sentencing of Christopher Lavigne, 22, of Greenville for procuring liquor for a minor, which appeared on Page B4 in Monday’s [sic] editions. Lavigne pleaded nolo contendere, or no contest, which the court treats as a guilty plea.

The home address of a candidate for the Brewer City Council was reported incorrectly in a Sept. 23 NEWS story on Page B3. Ailine Simon lives at 609 South Main St.
