The goals of environmental groups concerned with water pollution cited in a story on Friday’s Page One of the Bangor Daily News need to be clarified. Environment Maine and its partners seek official notification and enforcement of violations at all facilities that are in “significant noncompliance” as defined by the state Department of Environmental Protection or that are on the DEP’s exceptions list.
