Correcting the record

A story published in Thursday’s State section incorrectly stated that Chad Nason of Cornville was the driver in a double-fatality accident in September 2001 in Skowhegan. Somerset County District Attorney Evert Fowle said Thursday that investigators were unable to determine which of the three men involved in the accident was driving.

A story about the United Bikers of Maine on Thursday’s State page referred to the group’s motorcycle safety course. Although UBM sponsored the course for years, it now is offered by Motorcycle Rider Education of Maine Inc. Also, Chris Broderick is not associated with any UBM safety course.

An item in Wednesday’s “From Police Files” column said that Bangor police Officer Jason McAmbley contacted the owner of the former Papa Gino’s lot on Bangor Mall Boulevard while investigating a trespassing complaint. McAmbley actually contacted the property management company in charge of the property.
