A story published Thursday in the State section reported that 77 people have been killed on Maine highways this year compared to only 78 for all of last year. Actually, 207 fatalities were reported last year. Seventy-eight of the 207 occurred before Memorial Day last year, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

A photo caption on the front page of Thursday’s Sports section incorrectly identified the tennis player in the Eastern Maine Class A team tennis quarterfinal. The correct information is: Nate Cutshall of Bangor High School returns a shot to Tyson O’Keefe of Old Town High School. Cutshall won 6-0, 6-0.

An incorrect date for a book signing was listed in the Gerry Boyle feature which appeared May 24 on the Style page. The signing at Reading Corner in Rockland will be held 1-2:30 p.m. June 19.
