Due to a transcribing error, a comment by legendary classical jazz composer Ahmad Jamal was misquoted in a Sept. 17 Style story. Jamal did not intend to slight reggae music in his criticism of music produced for market value rather than artistic merit. He said, “There’s a lot of stuff being pushed by record companies in an obvious attempt to make money.”
