A story on the front page of Friday’s Bangor Daily News should have clarified how the federal Environmental Protection Agency calculates its predicted greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Under Bush administration policies, the EPA estimates an 18 percent reduction over the next decade of “greenhouse gas intensity,” a measure that links emissions to economic productivity.
