A story published in Tuesday’s final edition about the Bangor city budget should have included that city councilors restored part of the funding for a firefighter position by reducing the annual appropriation for the public library by $21,000.

Clarification

In a June 14 story on rising paving costs, The Associated Press reported that the price of asphalt has risen to $189 a ton. The price is for liquid asphalt, which makes up only 5 percent to 6 percent of the asphalt mixture placed on roads.
