The headline was in error on Saturday’s front-page story about Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine and the Bangor practice Cardiovascular Surgery P.A. The headline should have indicated it was the practice’s voluntary decision to leave Anthem’s network of providers, and not that Anthem “dropped” the doctors. The physician group chose to leave the network when its contract negotiations with the insurance company hit a stalemate. Surgeon Robert Clough said last week that Cardiovascular Surgery P.A. remains committed to serving its Anthem clients.

A caption on Monday’s State page accompanying a photo on a Union River canoe trip contained the incorrect name for the falls. Travis Hussey lined the canoe down the Mariaville Falls. Also, Hanover College is located on the Ohio River in Indiana.

The name of a Hancock woman was misspelled Monday in the State section in a caption under a photo of a new trail at Indian Point in Ellsworth. The woman who hiked the nature trail is Beryl Crosby.

A story in Monday’s State section about the Flye Point Music and Crafts Festival misspelled Jeff Lindelof’s name.
