Correcting the record

An Associated Press story in the State section of Thursday’s paper requires clarification. The 40th annual Yarmouth Clam Festival will be held July 15, 16 and 17.

A State section story in some editions Wednesday requires clarification. A Houlton man, Frank Draus, has not been charged with starting a January apartment house fire in Mars Hill. The story correctly reported that he faces three misdemeanor charges involving fire safety issues.

A Page One story Thursday misidentified the Defense Department accounting center in Limestone. It is the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

A story Monday on Page B1 about Roman Catholic priests who “would likely be removed from ministry if they were alive today” incorrectly reported that one, the Rev. Lucien McKeone, had been pastor at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter. He served parishes in Portland, Rumford, Lewiston, Auburn, Biddeford and Baileyville, the diocese said.

An article published on Page A5 of Thursday’s edition about a possible reduction in the number of delivery routes in Maine by bankrupt Interstate Bakeries Corp. contained an inaccurate first name for a spokesman of the Missouri-based company. The spokesman’s name is Jason Booth.
