The incorrect date appeared in Joni Averill’s Wednesday column for the free concert and Three Rivers Kiwanis Club Chicken Barbecue at the park in Milo to raise funds for a PA system for the park’s gazebo. The barbecue is at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, the concert at 6 p.m.

Wednesday’s Page B1 story about the DirigoChoice insurance program incorrectly described the state’s proposal for funding subsidies that help keep the program affordable to low-income Mainers. According to the Governor’s Office of Health Policy and Finance, when health care savings can be attributed to the Dirigo plan, the state wants insurers and employers who are self-insured to return all or some portion of those savings to the subsidy fund, so long as the amount does not exceed 4 percent of the value of the insurance claims paid the same year the savings were calculated. The precise amount insurers would have to contribute each year would depend on the savings shown and on the number of DirigoChoice enrollees who qualify for subsidies.
