Correcting the record

A story on Page B3 on Monday contained the wrong date for a public forum on heating assistance in Ellsworth. The forum, sponsored by United Way, will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Ellsworth City Hall.

A story published Saturday in the State section about a Windham man’s jury trial contained an error. Peter Busque, 45, received an 18-month license suspension rather than probation.

A story in Monday’s State section about Bangor Rotary’s annual Festival of Lights Parade incorrectly reported that the 2005 Miss Maine was riding in the parade. Miss Maine USA 2006, Katee June Stearns of Orono, participated in the parade. The story also misidentified a twirling group, River City Twirlers from Diane’s World of Twirl, Verona Island.
