Correcting the record

A story in Wednesday’s State section about Presque Isle preparing for the 2006 Biathlon Junior World Championship listed the incorrect time for the opening ceremonies, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at Gentile Hall.

A Jan. 25 story in the State section with the headline “Special ed costs overestimated” accurately reported that preliminary estimates of the cost of special education services beyond regular schooling provided to district students by Brewer High School had been revised downward from $134,410 to approximately $92,000. However, when referring to the estimates, SAD 63 Superintendent Louise Regan did not actually use the words: thousands less than first predicted.
