An article in some editions of the State section on May 22 mischaracterized the new Women’s Health Resource Library in Milbridge. The library welcomes both men and women at all times.
A story in last Monday’s edition headlined “Celebrity helps foster families celebrate” incorrectly reported that two foster children were living with David Mussey and Fran Doonan of Glenburn. In fact, according to Mussey and Doonan, the two live on a residential campus and visit them frequently. One of the two girls had lived with them for 21/2 years and both are considered by Mussey and Doonan to be part of their family.
The Finding a Fix column on Page C1 Thursday contained confusing information about the day and date of an upcoming public forum in Ellsworth on meeting the mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of returning military veterans and their families. The forum will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the VFW Hall on the Washington Junction Road in Ellsworth. For more information, call Open Door Recovery Center at 667-3210.
A story published on the local page of Friday’s final edition about Orono’s proposed budget gave the incorrect tax rate for the current year. The correct rate is $23.10 per $1,000 valuation and the projected tax rate for the coming year is $22.33 per $1,000 of valuation.
