A story published on Saturday’s State page misidentified the artistic director of the Penobscot Theatre Company. Scott R.C. Levy heads the Bangor theater company, which is raising money to renovate the Bangor Opera House.

A reference published June 2 on Page C10 to David Whitney’s wreath business in an article about Pine Tree Zones in Washington County was misrepresentative of the position Whitney took as a member of the Washington County Economic Development Task Force. Whitney told other task force members he has expanded his business recently on his own, with no assistance from any state program to help businesses grow. He advocates that businesses which employ seasonal workers should not be disqualified from gaining Pine Tree Zone status for that reason alone.

A story about cancer survivors on Page B2 on Monday incorrectly stated that Eastern Maine Medical Center is building a $28 million cancer center in Brewer. The proposed center has not been approved.
