Correcting the record

A headline in some editions of Wednesday’s paper incorrectly stated the amount that IP gave to benefit The Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust’s Wildlands preserve. The International Paper Foundation gave a grant of $10,000, and a second $10,000 grant was given by the Davis Conservation Foundation.

The name of an Orrington business was listed incorrectly in a story that ran in Wednesday’s Final edition about a former Easter Fine Paper Co. dam. The Meadow Dam is located behind Bob’s Kozy Korner.

A headline in some editions of Wednesday’s paper said that the Calais Rotary has planned some concerts in the park this year. In fact, as the story states, two Calais businesswomen planned the concerts. The Calais Rotary built the stage on which the concerts will be held.
