In a story Tuesday from Blacksburg, Va., about a manhunt for a suspect in the slayings of a hospital guard and a sheriff’s deputy, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the suspect was an escaped convict. The suspect, William Morva, 24, is not a convict. He was jailed awaiting trial on an attempted robbery charge when he escaped, authorities said.
