An article published in Wednesday’s State section about stolen street signs in Orrington incorrectly listed the amount the town paid to replace the 17 signs. The town paid a total of $480 plus labor costs.
A Wednesday Page One story on the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program misidentified the subsidiary of the Venezuelan state-owned oil company that contributed $5 million to the state’s LIHEAP program last winter. It is Citgo, not Chevron, a U.S. company. The error also was included in a July 15 story about the program.
A headline Wednesday on Page B8 was incorrect. Adam Melvin Hafford was charged with being a
felon in possession of a firearm.
