A story on Page B1 in Friday’s paper may have given the impression that Country Acres Farm Inc., of Dixmont has entered a final settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. EPA representatives said Monday that if substantial cleanup progress is not made by May 1, the farm still may incur major fines.

A sports article in Friday’s editions incorrectly stated the minimum value of a marketing contract between the University of Maine athletic department and Learfield Sports. The six-year deal is worth a minimum of $2.95 million to the university.
