Correcting the record

An article on Page B3 in Tuesday?s paper about the Brewer School Committee giving school administrators and support staff a raise should have stated the raise was 3.5 percent.

A story that ran Monday in the State section about a woman sentenced in U.S. District Court on a gun charge contained an error. In sentencing Joan M. Zoulias, 24, of Old Town to 41 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, U.S. District Judge John Woodcock reduced her sentence under federal sentencing guidelines because she had pleaded guilty. He also increased it because he found that she had obstructed justice by changing her story about what happened to the gun. The recommended guideline range for her sentence was between 37 and 46 months.
