Correcting the record

A story published in some editions Thursday about the SAD 4 budget contained errors. The total increase in local assessment is $134,383.99. The total assessment from property taxes is $2,700,624.99. The budget adopted amounted to $7,034,603.37, which reflects an increase of $230,341.27.

A story that ran in the State section of Wednesday’s paper about Husson College’s proposal to start law and pharmacy schools requires clarification. Although the items were on the agenda considered Wednesday by the State Board of Education, the board is not scheduled to act on them until the board’s June meeting. The Massachusetts School of Law, Andover, Mass., is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in Bedford, Mass. The law school is not accredited by the American Bar Association.
