A headline and dateline on a story in the State section of some editions Thursday about a plow truck ballot item should have indicated the town considering the issue is Mars Hill.
A story that ran in the State section in May 3 [sic] editions about HUD grants for Maine Indian tribes contained an incorrect figure. The Aroostook Band of Micmacs is scheduled to receive $593,728.
In a May 18 story about Venezuela’s unofficial economy, The Associated Press erroneously reported the year of President Hugo Chavez’s election and the prevailing unemployment rate. He was elected in 1998, when unemployment was 11 percent. He took office in 1999, when unemployment was 15 percent.
