An image that ran with an item about the new exhibitions at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland on Thursday’s Mark Your Calendar page was incorrectly captioned. The artwork featured is by Louise Nevelson and is called “Dawn Column 1” (1959, painted wood).

A statement by Kelley Carter, SAD 48 business manager, in Thursday’s edition of the NEWS that Palmyra Consolidated School officials were forced to pour water into toilets to flush them was incorrect. Carter said Thursday that he was mistaken and that the school’s wells are now able to provide enough water for flushing.
