A headline on Page A1 of Thursday’s paper should have stated the Federal Reserve cut interest rates to avoid a recession.

A story on Page B1 of Thursday’s paper about the verdict in the trial of six war protesters in Penobscot County Superior Court contained incorrect information. Six other people who did not go to trial pleaded no contest to the charge of criminal trespass, were convicted and ordered to pay fines. They were protesting continued funding of the war in Iraq.

In a story about traffic delays on Page B2 of Friday’s paper, the dates for repairs of the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge were missing. The project is scheduled to begin June 13 and be completed in five days.
