In a story on Page B2 of Wednesday’s paper several tenants displaced by a house fire in Dexter and local officials told the BDN that the apartment house had recently been rewired. The building’s owner, Michael Carter of Dexter, said Wednesday that was not the case. He stated that some wiring was completed about six weeks ago, but it was simply to update safety systems, such as smoke detectors.
