A story on safety during the July Fourth holiday on Page B1 of Wednesday’s paper attributed information to Kelly Whalen of Calypso Communications LLC of Portsmouth, N.H. She is no longer with that firm. She issued the press release as a public relations counsel on behalf of U.S. Cellular.

A story published in Wednesday’s paper and a story published on May 16 concerning a lawsuit filed by a Swans Island family asking the town to pay for their child’s education incorrectly identified the judge who ruled on the case in Kennebec County Superior Court. The judge was Justice Nancy Mills.
