An article in some editions of Thursday’s paper about the Ellsworth Police Department’s first motorcycle patrol included inaccurate information about funding for the department’s plan to get a police dog. The Police Department already has on hand the $12,000 it needs to purchase the trained dog but would need the city’s approval in the 2005-06 budget process to spend $5,000 on overtime expenses for the dog’s handler.
