Correcting the record

A story that ran on Page B5 in Thursday’s State section about war protests in Bangor should have included the fact that the second group of protesters were members of the Penobscot Bay Occupation Project and are part of a national movement. They were protesting Congress continuing to fund the war in Iraq.

A story about funding for Bangor’s cultural institutions published on Page B2 in Thursday’s final edition erroneously reported that the Bangor Museum and Center for History receives a $125,000 annual appropriation from the city. The money referred to in the story is the city’s annual appropriation for all eligible cultural groups, activities and projects.
