Correcting the record

Because of erroneous information given by a school official, the wrong reason for Tony Reynolds’ resignation from the Hermon school committee was published in a Sept. 18 story. Reynolds, vice chairman of the school committee, said he resigned this month for personal, not health, reasons.

U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Josh Lemoi’s name was spelled incorrectly in a story published on Friday’s front page about the rescue of a lobsterman during a storm Wednesday night.

The third annual Violence Prevention and Children Conference in Belfast will be held Friday, Oct. 25, at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center on Route 3. The paper incorrectly listed the conference as beginning Oct. 18.

A story in Thursday’s paper on options for Brownville police coverage gave the wrong name for the Milo town manager. Her name is Jane Jones.

A caption on today’s Style page should have indicated that the photo of the aurora borealis was taken in Alaska.

The amount of salt was missing from the ingredient list in the Pizza recipe from “The Sopranos Family Cookbook” feature in Wednesday’s edition. The correct amount is 2 teaspoons of salt.
