The comments attributed to Maine Audubon in Saturday’s Page One story about the Mars Hill windmill project were made about windmills in general, and not about Mars Hill in particular. Maine Audubon has studied other proposed windmill projects in the state to ascertain their effects on wildlife and wildlife habitat, but has neither studied nor taken a position on the Mars Hill project specifically.

A July 18 story, “Rockland man, 83, files suit over driving limits,” incorrectly reported that a Camden driving school recommended that Meredith Dondis be restricted to driving within a 25-mile radius of his home. According to attorney Paul Gibbons of Camden, who represents Dondis in the suit, the Camden driving school recommended that Dondis obtain a driver’s license. The school did not mention any restrictions.
