A Nov. 25 story concerning a report on poverty in Maine contained some incorrect percentages. The story should have said that 58 percent of family households in the United States had at least one member working either full time or part time. The corresponding number for Maine is 61 percent. Of total U.S. households, including those with unrelated members, 47 percent were considered working poor. In Maine, the total number was 46 percent. Although not included in the report itself, the erroneous information was provided by the study’s authors.
