A story published on page A5 of the June 5 Bangor Daily News incorrectly reported 2001 poll results concerning bear hunting. The survey conducted by the Humane Society of the United States showed that about 70 percent of Maine voters would support a ban on bear trapping and hunting with bait and dogs.
